The heart of FPD is rooted in the meaningful relationships between our students and our devoted, Christ-centered faculty and staff, who mentor and guide them each day.

  • We believe God has given the Holy Scriptures as His authoritative and infallible rule for faith and life. God’s truth revealed in the Bible provides the frame of reference or lens through which we view all of life. It is the foundation and integrating point for all truth. Thus, our curriculum and instruction, our programs and administration, our communication, every aspect of our school will be founded in a biblical understanding of the world and life.

  • We acknowledge that God has given the responsibility of raising and training a child to the parents. We view our role as one of supporting parents and assisting them as they seek to fulfill God’s command to “train up a child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Our policies and actions are intended to support parents first. We believe that serving families means being financially responsible and making an FPD education within the financial reach of as many families as possible.

"In fifth grade, we wrote “I Am From” poems. We were asked to detail our childhood, our traditions, the things that made us, us. But if I had to write it again now, I think it would go something like this:"
 

I am from hallway hugs and pre-quiz pep talks,
From chapels and pep rallies and Viking bumps.
From warm lunchroom cookies, flowers after curtain calls,
Loud laughter in the gym and quiet prayers at the flagpole.
From Spanish Club crafts and “good job” stickers when we didn’t always deserve them.
From FPD-branded water bottles and car stickers and stadium chairs,
And Mrs. Liz’s “Go Vikings!” after the morning announcements.
I'm from love that goes beyond education. People that would “tear off a roof for me”.
I am from 5671 Calvin Drive.
And I always will be.

I love how in our classroom we get to draw pictures with our Bible story. Going to recess is so fun because it’s such a big playground and I get to play with my friends. I enjoy seeing my friends each day, writing in cursive, learning and reading books.

I love the student body here. I feel like everyone is super accepting and is super nice. One really good thing is our Robotics Team. As the team captain, I’m just really passionate about it.
